BioI'm a Brit who moved to America 5 years ago and never looked back. Well, not strictly true, I do miss family, friends (proper Cadbury's chocolate and tetley tea) but love life on this side of the pond. I am married, have 2 rescue dogs and until recently, worked for a Judge. I studied law in the UK and also spent 3 years working at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, since animals are also a passion of mine.
I've always loved reading and writing. I got out of the habit of doing either for pleasure during my university years, since there were always a million cases to read, statutes to learn and essays to write. But my love of Battlestar Galactica and Hornblower re-ignited my passion for both. Now Law & Order: UK has added fuel to the already blazing fire (thanks, Matt and James)... so much so I'm actually working on my first attempt at a novel. We'll see if I have the stamina to finish it!
I am a huge fan of Battlestar Galactica and of Jamie Bamber in particular. I run a fansite dedicated to him, his work and some of his loyal Bamber Bunnies.
I'm hoping to get to know like-minded people and very much enjoy reading and writing fan fiction, in fact it was reading fiction here that made me finally get up off my butt and register an account so I could comment on the embarrassment of riches LJ has to offer!
